Where can I get tested?
We have several testing locations including at Bridgend (at Carey’s Amusement Car Park) and in Letterkenny at The Clanree Hotel.
What are your opening hours?
We schedule our clinics to suit flight times and demand. The best way to find a suitable time is to go to our booking form here and the drop down menu will display available dates and times for your chosen location or click here for our clinic hours.
How long will the test take?
Our expert medical professionals take your sample with a swab and may required your passport and some additional details.
The process takes around five minutes.
Can you explain the difference between the tests?
JACE Medical offer three different types of Covid tests: PCR, Lateral Flow (Antigen) and Antibody.
The PCR and Antigen tests indicate if someone is currently infected with Covid, while the antibody test can be used to detect if someone has previously had the virus.
How much does it cost for a test?
PCR Test starts from €69
Lateral Flow (Antigen) Test are from €18 for a home test and €35 for a test at the clinic (Cheapest in Ireland)
Antibody Test is €35

Do I still need a test if I am vaccinated?
For most countries, yes, but as rules differ across jurisdictions, please refer to the travel advice for your destination for guidance.
What happens if I test positive?
If you get a positive test result, you are legally required to self-isolate for 10 days from the day your symptoms started. You will be asked by NHS Test and Trace to provide details of anyone who you have been in close contact with. This will not automatically be all of your co-workers, but anyone who meets the definition of a close contact.
I have already had covid. Will I still test positive if I have a PCR test now?
It is possible that remnants of the virus causing COVID-19 infection can still be detected by PCR tests for up to 90 days after infection so you should consider that you may still get a positive result with a PCR test.
How far in advance of my flight should I get tested?
This could range from 24 to 72 hours before departure depending on your destination.

Will I get my results back by email?
Yes, you will receive your results to the email address you supply.
Allow 24 hours from when your sample arrives at the lab for your PCR results and you’ll get results for your Lateral Flow (Antigen) test within minutes.
Please make sure your email address is correct and check your junk and/or promotions folder if you don’t see in your inbox.
Is an email on my phone ok or do I need to print the results?

What information do I need to provide for a Fit To Fly Certificate?
In addition to an email for your group we require the following for each person travelling; name, date of birth, address and passport number.
It is important to make sure all the information you provide is 100% accurate to avoid any issues with entry to your destination.
I'm going on a family holiday do the children need tests?
The COVID‑19 test requirements vary in each destination, so make sure to check the government advice.
Can I book for multiple people in the same booking?

Can I change or cancel my booking?
Change of appointment
Yes please email hello@jacemedical.ie and we can change to another time that suits based on availabilty.
Cancellations
We offer a NO QUESTIONS ASKED cancellation policy for all our test appointments if cancelled at least 24 hours before your appointment time.
That enables us to offer the appointment to someone else, but this is not possible when cancelling within 24 hours, hence the need to enforce this policy.
If cancelling outside of the 24 hour window before your test we will refund your registration fee in full.
Refunds
In order to obtain a refund if cancelling in advance of 24 hours before your test please contact us at hello@jacemedical.ie and allow us a day to identify and refund your payment.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@jacemedical.ie.
Is JACE Medical a UKAS accredited private provider?
JACE Medical is a UKAS accredited private provider listed on the government’s website.
What are my responsibilities as a traveller?
While our customer service team are here to help, it is ultimately your responsibility as the person travelling to ensure you have the correct tests before, during and after travel.
Our liability is limited and so any costs you incur are your responsibility if your travel plans are disrupted.
